Memberships and Accreditations
Crompton Joinery Ltd are members of the British Woodworking Federation. We also operate a chain of custody certification, which is similar to ISO 9001.
Chain of Custody Certification
Responsible wood sourcing
Chain Of Custody
Chain of Custody (COC) Certification is a process of ensuring that a forest product has come from a responsible, legal source. It is a link from the initial logging stage, through the supply chain, potentially ending with the joinery company. Even if you used certified timber, you can only claim to be passing on a Chain of Custody product if you are a certified link in the chain, like Crompton Joinery. If you are not, then you break the link.

By having Chain of Custody, we allow an environmentally conscious potential customer to make an informed choice.
Sustainable Wood Source

Since its launch in 1999, PEFC has become the largest certification umbrella organisation covering national schemes from around the world.

Chain of custody, timber and paper from responsible sources
Advantages of Chain of Custody Certification In the UK, COC certification is becoming an industry standard for companies buying and selling timber, panel and paper products to demonstrate that they source their products responsibly. Over 50% of timber brought into the UK is now legal and responsible sourced, with nearly 600 companies having achieved Chain of Custody Certification. The demand for certified timber is increasing as more and more private development, central and local government projects insist on it.

Crompton Joinery has completed the Chain of Custody Certification, and is therefore seen to be environmentally focused and have proved the run a responsible business.
